Greek Church

The main Religion in Greece is Greek Orthodox, Christianity. There are thousands of Greek Orthodox Churches, with the traditional Byzantium Architecture throughout Greece. Most famous are the white and blue churches of the Greek islands.

Greek Food

Greek cuisine, ΕλληνικÎ® ΚουζÎ¯να, is typical Mediterranean Cuisine, with the use of olive oil, herbs, vegetables, whole grains, fish, wine and much meat. Desserts consist of nuts and honey, within phyllo layers. If you love meat and olive oil, you'll love most Greek Dishes.

Greek Islands

There are over 6,000 Greek islands and islets. Around 227 are inhabited with about 80 having more than 100 people. Crete is the largest Greek island, with Euboea, Lesbos and Rhodes coming in after. Each island has a distinct culture and flavor to it.

Ios

Ios is an island within the Cyclades of Greece, well known for its awesome Nightlife and Beaches. Ios has a population of around 2,000 but will double that in the summer months from party-goers. Main age of party-goers is 16-24. Tourists from Italy, Australia, Israel and America are common.

Kavala

Kavala, ΚαβÎ¬λα, is the main seaport of Macedonia in the east, with a population of 65,000. A beautiful city, with fascinating scenery, beaches and people, Kavala was founded in the 6th century BC, and was initially called Neapolis.
